May 14th. The Wind N.E. blowing fresh and excessive cold and scorching, haveing made a great shower of hail this morning. & continued cold and scorching all day. |
15th. The Wind W. blowing fresh and cold, about 3 in ye Evening it made a great shower of rain, which brought the wind again to N. W. |
16th. The Wind W. blowing moderately, & not very cold; My – people to day finished plowing & harrowing the Pinfold at Coydan, finished also Mending the walls of the Well at home, and makeing a broad, deep passage for the —— Water that comes from it; to have Water in Sumertime [there is a line over the 'm' sw] for Hogs, Geese; &c . and in the Winter for Horses &c. |
17th. Whitsunday. [this is in the margin opposite this entry sw] The Wind S. W. blowing high and very stormy all day — yet made no rain; A very full Congregation at LLan – -fechell Church, and about 70 persons comunicated [there is a line over the 'm' sw] |
18th. The Wind S.S.W. calm and warm, & raining a soft rain before day till 9 in the morning; the Evening sunshiny & fair. |

W. blowing high, & raining very hard from 2 in the morning till 8; when it made some intervalls of fair weather and rain by turns till 5 in the Evening, and from that time till night it rained — very hard . |
20th. The Wind S. in the first morning, but a great shower of rain falling about 5 in ye morning fixed it in the West and blew a sharp gale, but sunshiny and fair. |
