August 23d.  The Wind from S. W. blowing moderate, Sun shiny – fair and dry: To Day I begin to carry in the Corn at Coydan about ii I set out for LLanerchymedd to put in Execution the Land Tax & Light Tax Acts . for the Hundred of Twrkelyn as I shall God willing Do to morrow for the Hundred of Talybol – ion at Llanfechell, it was near 8 at night when I came home and Mr. Lewis of LLysdulas, Mr.  Robert Lewis the Parson of — Trefdraeth and one Mr. John LLoyd Curate of Wrexham who– is Marryed to Miss Nelly Lewis of Wrexham, a relation of Mr. Lewis, & who I remember to see here about 8 year's ago:I spent in Llanerchmedd 2s.
24th.  The Wind S. blowing very moderate, but raining very hard from half an hour after i in the morning till 3 or 4. the rest of the day was dry till about 6 in the Evening when it rained severall heavy showers: We met this day at LLanfechell to pass the Land tax and light tax bills for Talybolion & it was an hour in the night when we finished: pd. 6d.2/1 to day at Llanfechell .
25th.  The Wind S. blowing fresh and raining from almost break of day till 10. & a sort of Sco[tch sw] mist afterwards till night: My poor Mother was taken very ill yesterday Evening, had a very bad night last night, it something better to day, but yet very weak ·
26th.  The Wind W. in the morning, blowing fresh & drying well, grew cloudy & overcast in the Evening, the wind comeing to S: The Priest preached on Mat: Chap: iith. verse 28th. My poor Mother is very bad to day and in a high fever.
27th  The Wind S. and blowing very little with a dirty, mizling rain in the morn ing; the rest of the day was dry: my Mother rested well last night & was pretty hearty all day till towards night she grew very sick again, & rested very bad: Paid William Edwards five pound that I owed him.
28th.  The Wind S. and very little of it, with a dirty mizling rain most part of the morning; and dryed very little the rest of the day: pd. AbrahamJones 2s. for tar &c . My poor Mother very bad to day, being taken with a purging and vomiting.
29th.  The Wind E. blowing in the morning sometimes fresh,Sun shiny and drying well, the Evening very calm, cloudy & dark, yet continued without rain all this day : My poor Mother very sick & weak, and the — vomiting & purgeing returned upon her again after it was stopped yesterday yet it soon stopped again by giveing her a cup of the tincture of Poppies and 9 or i0 drops of liquid Laudanum ·
30th.  The Wind S. and raining more orless almost all day: It pleased Got totake to himself the Soul of My Dear Mother, she dyeing at half an hour past 8 at Night.
