September 29th.  The Wind E. & by S. calm, and for the most part Sun - Shiny, fair and warm all day.
30th.  The Wind S. blowing moderate, Sun shiny fair and very warm all day; and the dew very thick on the ground every morning.
October ist. ii❍ [this is written vertically in the margin below 'October ist' sw] The Wind S. blowing pretty fresh, Sun shiny, dry, fair and very warm all this day also; my people all these last four days were thatch ing the Corn and hay: Paid John William – i0s. 6d. to Harry Prichd. i5s. to Hugh Owen 8s. to Hugh Roberts 7s. to Mary Williams 5s. being part of their Severall Sumer's [there is a cup shaped line over the 'm' sw] wages.
2d.  The Wind came to N. W. this morning about 3 a clock upon an exceeding heavy shower of rain, and blew fresh & cold all day but sun shiny and dry: Mathew's Fair at LLanerchymedd ( according to the Old style ) proved pretty good for old Cows and young steers of 2 and 3 year old·
3d.  The Wind W. blowing moderate & generally Sun Shiny and fair, but dry all day·
4th.  The Wind W. blowing moderate, made a small shower of mizling early in the morning; the rest of the day was dry – & generally Sun shiny: pd. Richd. Edwards the Smith of — LLanfairynghornwy 5s. for 5 reaping hooks, & pd. Owen Hughes Collector of the land Tax for this parish i3s. 8d. being the two first quarterly payments : & bought of Rhys bentir a quarter of Veal& the head for 2s.
5th.  The Wind S. W. blowing moderate, but raining excessive hard before day & till sun rise, & some small rain afterwards; Pd. Mr. Hugh Parry i3s. for a Calf,& Pd. Marged uch Huw Morrus is. [1/- sw] for a quarter of Mutton.
6th.  The Wind W. blowing moderately in themorning Sun shiny & faîr; it blew in the Evening high & very cold with some sleet & hail. The – Priest preached on mat : Chap 5th. verse 44th.
7th.  The Wind N.W. blowing high & Stormy attended with showers on rain & hail Delivered Ellin Hughes 20s. to give Anna Wright: & 5 Guineas to pay Mrs. whitfield for what I was to buy of her·
