October the 6th.  The Wind N.E. very still & rainy in the Morning till 8. then fair. The Parson preached on Luke Ch. 18th. verse ist. spent 4d.2/1 for ale after Evening prayer with the parson, Mr Wms. Carrog & Cousin Harry Hughes, begun to rain about sun Set, & rained I believe most part of the Night.
7th.  The Wind N.N.W. very cold, Boisterous & rainy all the Morning – about 3 in the afternoon it left off raining, but continued a high Wind all ye rest of the day –
8th.  The Wind N.W. pretty high, Cold, & dry all day, to day I finished ye hedge in Bodelwyn Meadow, & begun to make a New Double hedge betwixt Cae'r Beudy & Cae'r Allt ddu. to day John Bengan begun to dig stones in the Quarry by the gate —about 10 <in> the evening the Wind came to W and ye rain came down, not as usuall, but like a Cataract_in_great spouts, the wind turned towards N.W upon that rain –
9th.  The Wind W. & NW all day, it rained very hard before day, frequent showers all the morning, 3 or 4 very great showers in the Evening & very cold.
10th  The Wind W. & WN.W. cold and raw all day & very wet, some showers in the Evening –
iith.  The Wind SW. it rained hard before day, very wet, cloudy in the Morning raw & cold, about 8 it began to rain, & continued to rain very hard till 5 in the Evening incessantly, when it left of, bought a Quarter of Mutton of Richd Owen for 10d. very few people in ye Markett.
12th.  The Wind S.W. cold & raw, yet dry all ye Morning, about i in the Evening it begun to hail, & shower cold rains all the Evening, very wet weather, little sowing (if any) winter Corn, my people still at the Double hedge in Bodelwyn - a very bad Fair to day at Aberffraw.
13th.  The Wind N.E. cloudy & raw & cold in the Morning, The Evening clear and Sun Shiny –
14th.  The Wind W.N.W. cold raw weather, yet dry all day, Mr. Lewis LLysdulas came here to day with the Curate of Amlough — his behaviour remarkably singular, which I shall take notice of -

The Wind S.E. very still, yet cold & raw, from 10 in the Morning it rained without intermission untill late at Night. my people still with the hedge at Bodelwyn, where they have a tedious piece of Work—
