July 28th.  The Wind. W. a Dark, cloudy ill-favoured day, make–ing heavy Showers of rain & Sun Shine alternately, from morning to Night, The parson preached on James Ch. 5. ver. 12th a very thin congregation, that insufferable superstition that they have at LLanelian [e sw]ncreasing more and more every year. draws all the old superstitious devotees, & ye young debauchees, who have all the opportunity to have what they came for, the latter I believe in reality, & the former in imagination onely.
29th.  The Wind W. a dark, dull day & like to rain, tho it kept dry all day spent 3d for ale
30th.  The Wind . W. & N.W. cloudy yet dry all the morning, cleard up in the Evening and made hot weather spent 1d.½. for ale.
31st.  The Wind S.W. Cloudy in the Morning; Sun Shiny weather all the rest of the day, a very good Fair to day at Aberffraw Cattle sold there from 9L. to 13L. & upwards a pair, and a vast many bought. this day I begun to make my hay into Stacks.
