August 31st.  The Wind W.& by S, dark and cloudy generally all day – but continued dry, and blowed a moderate Gale.
Septr. ist.  The Wind N. Sun-shiny fair and dry all day; my people are reaping all this day.
2d.  The Wind S.W. calm, dark and cloudy all day, but made no rain; my people 17 in number reaping in the morning, & binding of Corn in the Evening.
3d.  The Wind S. with a Dirty, mizling rain all the morning; the Evening something dry, but dark and cloudy .
4th.  The Wind S. calm and fair & generally sun shine,all day; my people reaping in the morning, & binding Oats all the rest of the day .
5th.  The Wind S.S.E. calm, sun-shiny & fair all day but a little in the morning, a very great dew this morning; my people are finishing the Barley Slack to day that was begun the 30th. ult. haveing made my Rye yesterday . pd. 6d. to Thom. Wms. ye Taylor for mending my cloaths.
6th.  The Wind S. blowing very high all day,[’s sw]and made but very little rain, my people are makeing corn to day at Cnewchdernog.
7th.  The Wind S. blowing fresh in the morning, Sun-shiny & dry, about 2 in the Evening it begun to rain in earnest, & rained with great force the rest of the day & most part of the night. The Parson preached on Psalm 130th.vers. 3d. after ye same manner as usuall .
8th.  The Wind S.W. blowing high & stormy, but sun-shiny and dry, this Morn - ing about i the wind was at N.W. & blew a great storm accompanyed with great rain for 2 or 3 hours. about 10 I set out from home for Bodorgan to visit young Mr. Meyrick ,arrived there by 2 & dined there with a great deal of company, was 2 in the morning when I went to bed.

The Wind S.S.W. blowing high & stormy all day, & raining hard all the Evening; good liveing and great drinking all this day & night, went to bet abt. 12 a clock .

10th.  The Wind S.W. blowing high & stormy, and raining all day, no diversion out of doors, we lived well within, & drank hard till 2 a clock in the morning—–
