October 7th.  The Wind W. blowing high, cold & stormy attended with frequent showers of heavy rain on the  – morning; the Evening was dry with intervals of Sun shine and cloudy weather: Paid Humphrey Mostyn's Bill being iL.i9s.6d. pd. John Hughes of Marrian (with whom I intend to deal for the future for Iron & Salt ) 2is. for 2 hundred weight of Salt at - i9s. & 2s. to pay in part for the Iron I had of him, gave him also7s. to pay for drugs in chester.

8th.   7❍ [this is written vertically in the margin under '8th.' sw]   The Wind W. for the most part, but had been in the morning at N. W. all the day was Sun Shiny, warm, calm and dry, there is still a great deal of corn out in these parts, which is reckoned to be one of the forwardest parts this year inyeCounty

9th.  The Wind S. S. W. blowing fresh, cloudy & dark attended with driveing showers frequently in the morning; The Evening &night was altogether dry, tho it still continued cloudy and overcast.

i0th.  The Wind S. S. W. blowing fresh, cloudy and overcast all this day also, yet it continued dry all day and the greatest part of the night.

iith.  The Wind W.S.W. blowing moderate, it begun to rain about 2 in the morning and rained excessive hard from that time without any intermission till near 7 when it cleared up a little,but about i0 it begun again and rained extream heavy without ceasing till part 4 in the Evening when it cleared up a little,but made some short= showers of Sleet afterwards.

i2th.  The Wind W. & by S. blowing fresh, cloudy & dark all day, & made some rain about noon, but for the most part it was dry·

i3th.  The Wind W. blowing fresh & drying well all this day,& generally Sun shiny but very cold: about 8 at night it begun to rain and rained very hard I believe for all the night.

i4th.  The Wind S. SW. blowing fresh with intervals of dark weather & Sunshine and makeing frequent showers of rain both in the morning and Evening & night·

i5th.  The Wind S. W. blowing fresh, some intervals of Sun shine,but for the most part cloudy, dark with frequent showers of rain this day also, and raining hard for a great part of the night.

i6th.  The Wind E. & E. N. E. blowing fresh & generally cloudy &dark attended with frequent showers of heavy rain in the morning, Even- ing and night.
