July 27th.  The Wind S. W. calm,dark and cloudy for ye most part, and brought down a small shower of rain about noon and another about 2 in theEvening whereby it stop'd my hay makers from that work: Pd. 2s 6d. for 2 house brushes.

28th.  The Wind S. blowing fresh, cloudy and dark weather all day, yet generally very Sultry, about 4 it made a mizling rain till near 6, but not heavy; gave Anna Wright 2s. to pay the Taylor for — mending her stays.
29th.  The Wind S. blowing very moderate, cloudy & dark all the_ morning till near noon, but made no rain; the Evening – was Sun shiny, hot and sultry.
30th.  The Wind S. W. calm, cloudy, dark and raining pretty hard all the morning; the Evening was dry, Sun shiny; hot & sultry— Pd. Rhŷs Bentir for Butcher's meat this day 4s. 4d.
3ist.  The Wind W. & by S. very calm, cloudy & dark & raining a small rain all the morning with little or no intermission which it likewise continued all the rest of the day and night—– for the 2 last years & pd. the ballance which was in his favour being i0s. 6d.
August ist.  The Wind W. in the morning & blowing pretty fresh,generally Sun shiny & pleasant all the morning; Settled at S.W. in the Evening – grew dark & overcast & made some rain about 4, but betwixt 5 & 6 it begun to rain very hard & rained excessively from that time for all the rest of the day, & I believe all the night·
2d.  The Wind W. in the morning and raining hard all along till 9; when the wind came to N. and blew fresh & cold,& all the Evening was sun shiny and fair & drying well.
3d.  The Wind S. W. blowing very moderate,dark, cloudy weatherallday and from 9 in the morning dureing the rest of the day it rain[' sw]d a small rain more or less all the rest of the day.
4th.  The Wind S. W. calm, cloudy & dark & raining most part of the morning, it did not rain in the Evening, yet it dryed little or nothing ·
5th.  The Wind from N. W. to N. blowing moderately, but Sun– shiny, dry and fair all day: Pd. Parkins the Excise man i4s for my composition for 2 heads for Malt & candles . rained hard this night 
6th.  The Wind N.E. cloudy & dark in the morning & raining hard about 4 ; the Wind— blew fresh from 9 till 3 in the Evening was sun shiny & dryed well the rest of the day pd Rhŷs Bentir 4s. 9d. for a Side of Mutton weighing 22 pound 1/4 & is. [1/- sw] for a quarter of Veal·
