January 29th.  The Wind S.W. very cold, & the Wind– high, and continued to blow a rank storm all day & night
30th.  The Wind S.W. a calm sun-shiny moderate day; but it rained hard about 4 in the Morning, made some small showers in the Evening, the night calm & temperate .
3ist.  The Wind S.S.W. very cloudy dark weather, & blowing very high all the morning; rained very hard from ii in the morning till 2 in the afternoon, & a mizling rain afterwards very often till night, about 6 it begun afresh & continued without intermission to rain all night.

Febr. ist.  The great rain last night & this morning till 8 a clock brought the wind to N.W. & so to W. the rest of the day variable, sometimes fair, at other times raining too wet to do any thing on the Farm, save clearing the Hay ground from stones, &c. The Gardiner pruning & planting of trees all these days, pd. 3s. 6d for a Quarter of Pork.
