24th.  The Wind S.W. blowing fresh but hot and Sultry,especia-lly in the Evening. Arraigned the Recovery to day in the morning Court. for the doing of which it cost me 4L. 7s. 8d. Amongst the Councill 16s. 6d. to the Cryer 15s. 6d. to ye M[a sw]r[sh sw]-all 2s. to the Prothonotary 2L. 13s. 8d. gave Da. Wms. of Bodelwyn who came with me to Town instead of a Valet 7s. 6d. pd 7s. 6d. in my Lodging. & 6d for Rosemary to plant pd. the Barber 2s. gave the Hostler 6d. gave M. Lewis half a Guinea ffee to day. pd. David Wms. of Beaumares 5s 6d for 2 skins of Parchment. set out from Town about 1. in the Evening, drank 7d2/1 at Bwlch Gwynne and were at. Home by Night.
Easter Day [this is written in the margin above '25.th.' sw] 25.th.  The Wind E. in the Morning, a brisk gale & Sultry - came to S.W. in the Evening, when it thundered, and made a good deal of fine warm rain, about 13 score comunicants betwixt yesterday and to day. gave 6d in Charity Collection. The Parson preached in the Evening on Nehemiah Chap . 10. vers. 29th. dull & dry. pd. 1s for ale after Evening prayer - 
26th.  The Wind S. blowing very high, & something Sultry. pd Elizabeth uch Wm. Mathew, who marryed O. Jones the harper who goes with her to London I [ay I sw] [Nesta Evans has 'I say I' sw] pd. her 5[s sw].for – makeing my Shirts. a great many fat Cattle Sold to day at ye fair in LLannerchymedd, from 11L. 5s. to 12L. 5s. a pair.
27th.  The Wind S. high and blustering, but made little or no rain had company with me all day, was late before I went to bed —
