July 6th.  The Wind S.W. blowing very high& boisterous and cold withall, finished to day drying the Oats for Shelling & the Barley to mix with Rye & pilcorn to have Sufficient Grinding to last till after the harvest, my Servants employed in raising the turf on their ends in small heaps to facilitate their drying. pd. i8d. for a Side of very Ordianry Mutton .
7th.  The Wind W. a calm, fair and very warm day all along, Some of my Servants winowing, cleaning & preparing the Oats &c for the Mill, others of them grubbing ye Gors at Rhôs y ferem. pd Richard Roberts 18d. for a Lamb.

The Wind S.W. blowing fresh, dark cloudy weather, with a mizling rain about 9, fair again about 10. was misty, with a very great fogg about 12. and about 2 it begun to rain in — earnest, and rained very hard till near 7. the Parson preached on Rom: Chap. 13th. & ye 4 last words [maybe he means the last 5, which are 'not in strife and envying' sw] of the 13th. vers. pd. Wm. Tal[an sw]t 40s. <more> of his wages, being to be marryed toomorrow.

9th.  The Wind S.W. a fair, sun shiny warm day, my people at the Mill to day a shelling the Oats &c. the rest of them in Rhôs y ferem.
10th.  the Wind S.W. raining very hard all the morning, & blowing a great storm besides from 9 a clock, which increased to a Tempest in the Evening.
11th.  The Wind N. cold dark & cloudy all day, the Sun very rarely to be seen. my people in Rhos y ferem in the morning & rakeing of hay in the Evening in Bodelwyn meadow which hath not half the hay as other years. 
12th.  The Wind N. very cold all day, and dark cloudy weather, my people still in the hay; pd. 1s. for ale at Cemaes.
13th.  The Wind N. high & cold, and cloudy withall, my people still at ye Same work; a small Markett to day at LLanfechell, pd. Wm. Wms. 9s. 6d. for Garden Seeds.
14th.  The Wind E. dark & cloudy all day, it rained in ye Morning, & a little in the Evening, so that no good was to be done in the hay, my people at the same work in Rhos y ferem.
15th.  The Wind N.N.E. dark & cloudy generally, but very hot & Sultry– and continued dry all day: pd. 7s. 4d.being my Church tax for my lands in— LLanddeusant.
