August 10th.  The Wind S. blowing fresh & warm accompanyed with frequent showers of rain; Newborough Fair to day proved very <good>, a great many Cattle of severall Ages & Sizes – were bought at good rates. As Oxen from 3L. 10s. to 5L. a piece, Old Cows from 35s. to 3L. 5s. a piece. Yearling heifers from 20s. to 28s. a piece.
iith.  The Wind W. Sun-Shiny fair & dry but blowing fresh; a – small markett to Day att Llanfechell, and but poor meat .
12th.  The Wind S.W. very calm warm weather in the Morning, in the Evening it blew fresh, and made a good deal of small mizling rain about 6. my people employed in the morning in digging and carrying clay to mend the Summit of the wall of Coydan ba[rn sw] & makeing it even under the ends of the spars, the 2 carts in the Evening employed in Carrying the Turf home from Cae'r Mynŷ[dd sw] Sowed Turnep seeds for Winter Turnip where the Pease grew in the New garden.
13th.  The Wind S. in the Morning with a mizling rain, came to W. & W.N.W. in the Evening & blew high, & dryed well to nigh[t sw]
14th.  The Wind W & by N. blowing high, and dark weather most of th[e sw] day; LLannerchmedd Fair proved a good one in respect of Asking but the rates were not great, and a great many Cattle were boug[ht sw] there, Sold 5 yearling Heifers for 27s. 6d. a piece.
15th. The Wind N.W. blowing fresh, and the Sky dark, my people today are makeing the Hay at Cnewchdernog; To day I sent Jane Owen to Leverpool to see for my Daughter, haveing had an account that she was in a very bad state of health ,
16th.  The Wind N.W. very calm, warm & clear weather, my people to day finish makeing the hay at Cnewchdernog . had an acc[t sw] that my poor Daughter miscarryed last saturday morning, but was pretty well the next day, haveing had good rest, &found herself easy.
17th.  The Wind S.W. in the Morning, came to N.W before night, rained hard all the Morning: To Day I begin to reap, planted a fresh bed of Saffron Roots, & sowed a bed of Spinnage for Winter use
