October 4th.  The Wind N. W. blowing moderate, but cold and raw weather, and generally cloudy and dark most part of the day and especially in the morning; but continued dry all this day: Sold my Oats to Hugh Jones of Marian for 5s. 6d. a pegget.
5th.  The Wind N.W. calm and warm, but cloudy & dark in the morning till i0 when the Sun Shined fair & was dry all day.
6th.  The Wind N. W. very calm and warm & generally Sunshiny and fair, but dry all day; pd. Owen Thomas, Peirio Smith is. [1/- sw] 4d. for Shooing my horse.
7th.  The Wind N.W. very calm & warm, cloudy & dark with a great dew that continued on the ground all day, the Air being thick & moist, Pd. Thomas ab Wm. Thomas LLoyd is. [1/- sw] for makeing me 2 Dimity Waistcoats: pd. Salisbury the Butcher 2s. 2d. for a Side of Mutton, & is. [1/- sw] to Gab: Jones to finish paying for the Paint.
8th.  The Wind N. W. very calm & exceeding warm, sunshiny & fair all day : My people finished to day carrying home the Gorse from Coydan Park which had been the work of 3 men a stocking them & clearing the ground for above a fortnight. Planted to day at Cae'r âllt ddu Nine strait handsom Mountain Elms upon the Surface of the ground.
9th.  The Wind W. & by S. very calm in the morning with a great hoar frost, but Sun shiny fair & warm till 10 . from that time till night it blew fresh and was very cold & all the time cloudy and dark; Thomas the Taylor laid out ^of my money^ for me at Carnarvan yesterday 27s. 8d. for Sturbidge Frize [frize is an obsolete woollen fabric sw] & Trimings to make me a Coat & Waistcoat: The Priest preached on Prov. Chap 14th. vers. 2d.
i0th.  The Wind N. blowing very high, stormy & exceeding cold all day with frequent showers of hail & sleet & some feathered Snow.
