January 2d.  The Wind W. blowing fresh, & raining in the morning, and tho it rained hard yesterday & all last night, yet a great deal of Snow is still unthawed all the rest of the day from 8 till night was sun shiny & fair. gave Roger Hughes the parish Clark 2s. 6d. new year's gift.
3d. The Wind W. dark, cold & cloudy weather, with some little rain about noon & in the Evening, & continued cold all day.
4th.  The Wind W. & moderate, but cloudy & dark generally all day Sowed to day some Carrot Seeds for the first time .
5th. The Wind N. N. W. moderate sun shiny & generall warm, the Evening dark & cloudy ; Some of the Snow lies still on the ground unmelted— My people all ye working days since the holy days are makeing up the Pinfolds in Coydan & at home.
6th.  The Wind S. in the morning early & raining hard from 2 in the morning till 7; when it changed to S.E. continued a small rain more or less most part of the day. Pd. Wm. Morris of Tyddyn LLwchan 8s. 6d. for weaving. Spent this day in entertaining my Neighbours & Tenants till 9 a clock · pd. 6d for Cemaes Oysters .
7th.  The Wind E& byS. blowing moderate, but very sharp & cold, and especially in the Evening, tho it was sun-shiy generally too.
8th.  The Wind E. N.E. moderately calm & warm for the time of the year, & generally Sun shiny; A poor Market to day at LLanfechell .
9th. [SYMBOL LLEUAD LLAWN]  10 The Wind N. moderately warm & Sun shiny all day, the Evening cold, clear & serene. my people these days makeing up a Pinfold at Cefn y Groes.
